Blue Ridge Basecamp exists to provide an ‘all inclusive’ face to the camping world. From RV and campervan travellers, to solo backpackers rambling on foot, we offer a stress-free, up-scale camping experience to all… without being pretentious.
Blue Ridge Basecamp came to teclan with two main challenges – first, to develop an inclusive, yet high end, brand identity and branded materials for the camping resort being developed in North Carolina, USA. The second, to develop the scope for sub brands to sit under the umbrella of the main brand.
To build the brand identity, our agency collaborated closely with the owner to dive deep into the brand purpose and deliver prescriptive brand guidelines, templated marketing materials and branded merchandise.
Source of inspiration
The design of the logo was inspired by the retro iconography often seen on National State Park signage in the USA, which lends itself to the inclusive feel of the brand. The colour palette represents the tones seen at dawn/dusk over a mountain range.
Thank to its new identity system, Blue Ridge Basecamp now has a unique look and feel that helps them stand out in a competitive market and enables them to create content and merchandise that is visually consistent with the whole brand.
