Since March 2015, Google have been cleaning out AdWords accounts by removing ads that haven’t accrued impressions after more than 100 days. Later this year they intend to do the same with Ad Groups and Ad Campaigns that also don’t accrue impressions over 100 days.
At the moment you can reactivate these ads, but from July 2015 all ads which are removed will be permanently deleted from the account, meaning you will lose all historical data related to that ad. Google are doing this in order to clean up the database and improve your user experience.
Often with AdWords though, historical information is like gold, because the insight into what happened before can often help in making decisions about future campaigns. So if you have any information you want to keep from Ad Campaigns that face possible removal, you need to take action now.
