Google Chrome to drop Flash Ads.

vector-blood-drippingGoogle Chrome will no longer show Flash Ads on desktop devices from 1st September 2015. There has been much publicity about alleged security flaws highlighted by both Google and Firefox over recent months. With both these high profile browsers moving away from Flash it is a good time to revalidate any Flash Ads you may have.

Google’s official stance is that they are making this change because they believe that users will benefit from a faster performance and better battery life.

AdWords has started to convert Flash Ads to HTML5 but in some cases Ads will not automatically convert. Google have a support page where you can find out more about converting to HTML5 here:  Google HTML5
